Ultra Fine Steel Shot UFSS | Super-fine blasting medium, particle size 0.1-0.7mm, high-carbon steel spherical abrasive.

1 / 7Ultra Fine Steel Shot UFSS | Super-fine blasting medium, particle size 0.1-0.7mm, high-carbon steel spherical abrasive. For precision shot peening, micro-deburring & ultra-precision surface finishing. Low RA, safe for thin-walled parts, penetrates micro-holes & narrow gaps. First choice to replace glass beads & non-metallic abrasives.
Ultra Fine Steel Shot is a super-fine particle blasting medium developed by LuXing Metal for precision surface treatment. Made from premium high-carbon steel via advanced atomization, it delivers excellent sphericity, uniform particle distribution, and soft impact characteristics. Compared to standard steel shot, ultra fine shot features significantly smaller diameters (0.1–0.7 mm), enabling deep penetration into micro-holes, narrow gaps, and complex internal cavities — making it irreplaceable in precision component processing.
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Ultra-Fine Particles | Reaches narrow gaps, micro-holes, and complex cavities inaccessible to conventional media |
| Soft Impact | Low surface roughness (RA), safe for thin-walled and precision substrates |
| Uniform Size Distribution | Tight particle size control ensures batch-to-batch consistency |
| Extended Durability | High density, crush-resistant — far greater recycling cycles than non-metallic media |
| Refined Finish | Delivers a smooth, satin-like surface without excessive erosion |
Strictly prohibited for heavy rust removal, thick coating stripping, casting riser/cut-off mark grinding, or any high-impact operations — use steel grit or chilled iron grit instead.

After primary centrifugal quenching, we apply a second hardening cycle. This creates a denser microstructure, significantly inhibiting carbon deviation. The result: 1.3× longer service life, lower breakage rate, less dust, better elasticity and faster cleaning speed.
8-step controlled production — from raw steel to finished abrasive media, every stage is engineered for consistency.
Electric Arc Furnace
Adjust steel composition to reduce harmful sulfur and phosphorus content.
Ladle Refining
Further purify molten steel to ensure superior material quality.
Centrifugal Casting
High-speed centrifugal forming controls shape quality and minimizes physical defects.
Defect Separation
Remove hollow or deformed particles to improve shot density and uniformity.
Secondary Hardening
Double quenching refines grain structure, enhancing toughness and inhibiting carbon deviation.
Precision Heat Treatment
Precise temperature and time control achieve optimal hardness uniformity across batches.
Grit Production
Unique crushing process improves grit fullness and angularity while minimizing internal cracks.
SAE J444 Grading
Precision screening guarantees every batch meets American SAE-J444 standard.
Every production batch is verified by 5 types of precision instruments before leaving the factory. Test standards aligned with ASTM E92, GB/T4340.2 and ISO 6507-2.
